School Meals by Pabulum

Pabulum Menu October 2019 to March 2020

School Lunch Arrangements

We are most fortunate in  having the facility for hot meals to be cooked on site.  The school provides a free(from September 2014) nutritious cooked two-course meal.  There are three choices of a main course, including a vegetarian option and dessert. Pasta with a sauce or filled jacket potatoes with a choice of toppings are also available on alternate days. In addition there is a salad bar, home-made fresh bread, fresh fruit pieces, custard and home-made yoghurt with selected toppings. Menus are sent home regularly, are displayed on the school notice board and are available to view on the Pabulum website at www.pabulum-catering.co.uk/for-schools/

If you do not wish to take advantage of a hot meal then your child may bring a packed lunch which must be in a sealed box bearing their name.  Your child may also bring a drink (not fizzy or in a glass container), but if you do not wish them to do so then the school will provide a drink of water.  All lunch boxes are stored in trolleys in classrooms.  We are a ‘Healthy School’ and  promote healthy choices at all times so please avoid putting crisps, chocolates and sweets in your child’s lunchbox.

During the lunch break the children are supervised in the dining hall and in the playground by the Infant School Assistants and lunchtime supervisors.

In the event of a child forgetting a packed lunch, or any unforeseen accident occurring, a cooked lunch will be provided.

For children using the Nursery lunch club parents will still need to arrange a booking and payment in advance.
